He Could Be The One

Story

Josie Cotton bopped onto the 80s music scene asking, "Johnny, Are You Queer?", a song perhaps more befitting of Julie Brown, who notoriously liked them big and stupid, you know, cuz she's a blonde (yeah yeah yeah!). But then Josie shifted gears - at least lyrically - by getting a bit sappy and presupposing that "He Could Be The One", which turned out to be her highest charting single at #34 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock charts in 1982. Ultimately, her retro sound was drowned out by bigger vocal vixens, despite being prominently featured as the prom singer in that film I keep mentioning starring a befuddled-looking, spikey-haired Nic Cage. He was so hip (uh-huh)...
