Story

Perhaps Real Life's biggest misfortune was bad timing. They emerged on the music scene along with fellow Aussies The Fixx and INXS and were quickly obliterated from the musical map. The Fixx had a string of top 40 hits, as did INXS (due in part to the slithering sensuality of lead singer Michael Hutchence). Real Life, on the other hand, had this one semi-successful single in 1983 which fit the synth-pop mold perfectly, but failed to break into the top 20 on the Billboard Pop charts. They even tried re-releasing it in 1988, to no avail here in the US, so apparently their plea for an angel went unanswered and they ended up in OHW obscurity. At least they were in fairly good company...
