IMHO, this song should've done better in the US than 74, especially after being in heavy rotation on new wave format radio stations like WLIR (which I tuned in whenever I had a good signal) and MTV. Heck, it should've done better than 41 in the UK where they hailed from because you don't get much more 80s-sounding than Let Me Go! Heaven 17 certainly had the right formula for the time - two former members of Human League on keyboards (Martyn Ware and Ian Craig Marsh) and a silky smooth lead singer (Glenn Gregory) - so maybe they just had the wrong name (it was, after all, taken from the dystopian novel A Clockwork Orange)...
