FAVOURITE SHIRTS

Puttin' On The Ritz

Taco
Irving Berlin

Story

This OHWW is in honor of my father, Joseph J. Youngman, Sr., who passed away suddenly last Wednesday (11/12/14). He was my hero, the wind beneath my wings, and the foremost tickler of my funny bone...

While Taco's version of this Irving Berlin tune was his only top-40 hit in the U.S, the song may be better known from being featured in the Mel Brooks classic Young Frankenstein (which my dad and I loved). I dare you to listen to it without imagining Peter Boyle's tone-deaf interpretation of the refrain.

Rest in peace, Dad. I already miss you...
