FAVOURITE SHIRTS

Too Shy

03:41
Kajagoogoo

Story

If you frequented nightclubs in the 80s, you undoubtedly danced to this song. Kajagoogoo reached #5 on the US charts with "Too Shy" and then became the quintessential OHW (the track even claimed the #9 slot on VH1's 100 Greatest One Hit Wonders of the 80s). Lead singer Limahl (nee Christopher Hamill) with his infamous two-toned mullett allegedly grew too big for his britches, as my grandfather would say, and was fired by the band upon finishing their tour in support the White Feathers album the single hailed from. Kajagoogoo limped on without him while he launched a solo career that pretty much peaked with the title song for the animated film "The NeverEnding Story" composed by Giorgio Morodor. Even so, there is no escaping a big-hair, day-glo flashback without hearing this song, which just so happens to be one of my personal favorites (as evidenced by the posters of Kajagoogoo and Limahl that had adorned my dorm room walls...).
