From the recording 80s ONE-HIT WONDERAMA

Charlie Sexton not only had an amazing song with "Beats So Lonely" he had the most fabulous mop of hair in the 80s. He also had an abundance of talent as a guitarist and would spend several years backing up Bob Dylan and open for the likes of David Bowie. He was just a mere lad of 16 when he had his only US hit (#7 on the charts) in 1985 and hasn't been out of work since. He even appeared in a couple films, most recently playing the role of Jimmy in the 2014 film Boyhood, performing a song for the character Mason's 18th birthday on stage in the club where he was rehearsing. Not too shabby for a one hit wonder...

BTW, here's an interview with Sexton from 2005 talking about his career. If you don't mind gazing into his big blue eyes for 22 minutes, it's definitely worth a watch...
